Moon Over My Shoulder

   The name, Moon Over My Shoulder, dropped softly into my spirit and a knowing permeated my soul. I knew that it was special before I knew it was a book. It is the culmination of forty years of calling on my life to use the words my Heavenly Father has given me to encourage, teach, and lift up the broken-hearted; by guiding them to the feet of the One who can mend their hearts and give them the answers to life’s questions, I am placing you in the care of Jesus.

   Each day of the year (365 day devotional) will reveal a story in modern day parable, some with humor, others with unexpected insights, plus a passage of related Scripture. From a hummingbird in a teacup to the wild ride in a bumper car, from capturing a universe on film to walking a rope bridge high above a mountain gorge, each day is a fascinating application to real life. You will grow to know our Heavenly Father through each one and I pray that your trust and faith will prosper as you grow in your relationship with Him.

   Moon Over My Shoulder is an oversized format, allowing you room in the generous margins to make note of your reactions and responses to what the Holy Spirit is speaking to your heart. It is a unique collection of stories that you will relate to in an intimate way, so use it to journal your thoughts about what the Lord is communicating to you through each one.

   This book was not written because I aspired to write a book; it was written because I could not escape God’s calling to write it. It was written to draw His children into a closer relationship with our Creator and to know Him as He wishes to communicate with us, intimately. Each page is a reminder to sit and engage with the One who knows and loves us.
